Bought from the 2026 Tattersalls Book 3 Yearling Sale, this strong and powerful colt was a real stand out, not just physically (although you can see how imposing he is), but also on pedigree, which is rarely a combination we can afford to buy.

 

The stallion, Sergei Prokofiev, was leading first and second crop sire. He cost $1.1 million as a yearling, and won the Cornwallis Stakes (G3) and finished third in the Coventry (G2) as a juvenile. He has also produced G1 winner Arizona Blaze and Harry’s Half Million winner Song Of The Clyde.

 

The dam Oh Beautiful (by the mighty Galileo) was also a black type performer, winning the Listed Prix Vulcain at Deauville and placing in the Chantilly Listed Prix Charles Laffitte. She has five offspring with RPR ratings of 83 - 93 and her daughter Seemingly has also produced a black type performer herself too.

 

We struggled to get much bought across Book 2 and 3, with the nicer yearlings really standing out and making their money. We thought he was well bought at the 22,000 Guineas that we paid for him, and feel he offers good value for money.

 

The plan is to race him next season as a two year old, as he looks like he’ll be quick however, there is some stamina on the dam side, so there is a chance he may end up staying a bit further in time.  He is at my pre-trainer’s yard to begin the breaking in process currently, and we imagine he will be back with us in a month or so.
