2022 Colt By River Boyne  (IRE) Out Of  Sacrament (IRE)

What really attracted me to this colt was his impressive back end. A powerful backend is one of the most important components for a speedy horse and he certainly has that! His sire, River Boyne, is a first season sire who won 9 races, including 5 at group level. Although the sire was a miler, this is the sharpest model we have seen thus far from his crop, and we very much believe he will be a sharp early type.

He has a really impressive walk, he covers a lot of ground and is very athletic in the way that he moves. He also has lovely paces on the lunge, which the vet commented on during his post sale wind test. The weather was atrocious over at this sale, so there was plenty of value to be had for buyers that, quite literally, weathered the storm, to view the lots. We feel we've got a bargain!
