About
Former winning jockey, and now successful racehorse trainer, Gemma Tutty is based on the picturesque North Yorkshire moors. Her base, Trenholme House Farm, has been home to over a hundred winners. With an exciting team of horses, a host of facilities including a private gallop, and a very driven trainer at the helm, 2025 looks set to be another successful season for Gemma Tutty Racing.

The yard enjoyed their best season yet in 2024, with 27 winners and a 12% strike rate. Highlights include; Blue Storm winning the Epsom 3yo Dash on Derby Day, before finishing an unlucky 2nd at Royal Ascot, Elsie's Ruan winning on debut at York before finishing 3rd behind Lake Victoria in the G3 Sweet Solera Stakes, Look Back Smiling winning the Spring Mile at Doncaster, Enola Grey scooping £55,000 in All Weather Championship bonus', two doubles in December and many more!

Having taken over the trainers’ licence from her mother Karen, Gemma has a wealth of experience, gained from having worked in the racing industry for over a decade.
Gemma's career in flat racing began when taking out an apprentice jockey’s licence in 2012. She developed her experience during stints with trainers Saeed Bin Suroor in Dubai, Kevin Ryan, and her mother Karen, for whom Gemma acted as Assistant Trainer. As a jockey Gemma rode 74 winners.

In addition to training, Gemma has also launched the Yorkshire Moors Racing Syndicate to give more people the opportunity to become involved in racehorse ownership here at Gemma Tutty Racing. This has already proved very successful with multiple winners for the syndicate, and all horses selling out thus far. Further information on the Yorkshire Moors Racing syndicate and current shares available can be found here.
